Groundbreaking at STEGO

STEGO Sweden

To enable us to fulfil our customers’ requirements in the best possible way, we are further increasing the capacity of our headquarters in Schwäbisch Hall. Work on doubling the warehouse volume for our production facility has already been completed and the construction of an office wing has now begun. This is due to be finished in late 2023 and will be able to accommodate 70 employees in its 1,500 square-metre space.

We are investing seven million euros in our new office building

Even during the pandemic, we managed to continue to grow at a steady pace, although rising product demand put a strain on the supply of materials and logistics. Doubling the storage volume of our fully automated dark warehouse, a project which was completed in May, has provided some relief in this respect, but more staff are also needed to deal with and sustain this growth. In the first half of 2022 alone, our workforce expanded by 10% and now numbers 150 employees.

Growth with a sense of well-being

The new building will house offices for our growing number of staff and provide an environment conducive to efficient and creative working. The bright, spacious offices with flexible workspaces are designed to further consolidate our current working approach based on agile teamwork, and to help us foster our relationships with our customers and suppliers. The reception area will be centred around an impressive showroom featuring STEGO’s products and services, offering ample scope for conveying our corporate values and brand promises.

Building a sustainable future

Keeping the carbon footprint to a minimum was a key factor when it came to planning the new building. The two-storey structure, which covers an area of 1,500 square metres, is designed to comply with the KfW 40 standard, which is currently the strictest energy efficiency standard for construction. It will contain 70 office workspaces, social areas and an integrated staff restaurant. Another environmentally friendly touch is the photovoltaic system to be installed on the roof, which will provide sustainably generated power for our production machinery.

Space and scope for new colleagues

Our growth naturally gives rise to new opportunities for interested skilled staff and there are always new vacancies to be filled. Our personnel needs vary widely. For example, we are looking for engineers and programmers to develop hardware and software, but we would also welcome new recruits in Sales, Production and Logistics to help us meet our rising customer requirements. So if you know someone who knows someone, etc., we would love to hear from anybody who is keen get involved in our company!
